Leland (Lee) Robert Skinner, age 76 passed away August 2, 2024, at his home in Richfield, following a valiant battle with a rare form of cancer caused by his exposure to Agent Orange during his service in Viet Nam.

 Leland (Lee) Robert Skinner, age 76, passed away on August 2, 2024, at his home in Richfield, following a valiant battle with a rare form of cancer caused by his exposure to Agent Orange during his service in Vietnam. Lee's passing marks the end of a life characterized by bravery, dedication, and an unwavering love for his family and country.

Born on June 15, 1948, Lee grew up in a close-knit community where he was known for his kindness, sense of humor, and strong work ethic. He enlisted in the United States Army at a young age, answering the call to serve during one of the most turbulent times in American history. 

Lee served with distinction in Vietnam, where he was exposed to Agent Orange, a chemical defoliant used during the war that later led to his cancer diagnosis.

After returning from Vietnam, Lee continued to exemplify the qualities of a true hero. He pursued a career as a skilled carpenter, building not only homes and structures but 

also a reputation for meticulous craftsmanship and reliability. His work ethic and integrity earned him respect and admiration from colleagues and clients alike.

Lee married the love of his life, Margaret, and together they built a beautiful family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, always placing his family's needs above his own. 

His children remember him as a loving, supportive, and wise figure who taught them the importance of hard work, honesty, and compassion.

Despite the challenges posed by his illness, Lee faced his battle with cancer with remarkable courage and resilience. He never let his condition define him, continuing to live life fully and cherish the moments he spent with loved ones.
