Michael Wise, a beloved father, husband, and former firefighter and paramedic, passed away on July 21, 2024, in Newcastle, Oklahoma, at the age of 58. His passing leaves a deep void in the lives of his family, friends, and the community he served with dedication and compassion.

Born on April 14, 1966, in Oklahoma City, Michael grew up with a strong sense of duty and a passion for helping others. After graduating from high school, he pursued his dream of becoming a firefighter, joining the Oklahoma City Fire Department in 1987.

 Over the next two decades, Michael distinguished himself as a brave and skilled firefighter, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues. His commitment to public service extended beyond firefighting, as he also trained and worked as a paramedic, providing critical care and support in emergencies.

Michael's career was marked by numerous acts of heroism and kindness. He received several commendations for his bravery, including a Medal of Valor for rescuing a family from a burning building.

 His colleagues remember him as a reliable and compassionate team member, always ready to lend a hand or offer a word of encouragement. Michael's dedication to his community was unwavering, and his contributions made a lasting impact on countless lives.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Michael was a devoted family man. He is survived by his wife, Lisa, and their three children, Jennifer, Mark, and Emily. Michael was known for his warmth, humor, and generous spirit. 

He loved spending time with his family, often taking them on camping trips, fishing outings, and other outdoor adventures. His children remember him as a loving and supportive father who always put his family first.

A memorial service to honor Michael's life will be held on July 28, 2024, at the Newcastle Community Center. The service will celebrate his remarkable life and the indelible mark he left on his community.

 In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Oklahoma Firefighters Burn Camp, an organization close to Michael's heart, which supports burn survivors and their families.

Michael Wise's legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched and the lasting contributions he made to his community. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him, and his spirit of service, bravery, and love will continue to inspire future generations.
