Comedian Lollu Sabha Seshu Passes Away At 60
On Tuesday, the entertainment world mourned the loss of veteran actor Lakshmi Narayanan Seshu, fondly known as Lollu Sabha Seshu, who passed away at the age of 60 in a private hospital in Chennai.
Reports revealed that Seshu had been undergoing treatment following a heart attack on March 15. Despite efforts, he succumbed to the ailment today. Seshu embarked on his cinematic journey with a notable debut in the 2002 Dhanush starrer "Thulluvadho Ilamai."
However, it was his stint in the immensely popular Vijay TV comedy series "Lollu Sabha" that propelled him to fame. Among his many portrayals in the show, his parody of the late actress Gandhimathi's character from the classic film "Mann Vasanai" remains etched in the audience's memory.
Expanding his horizons, Seshu ventured into the silver screen, establishing a fruitful collaboration with actor-comedian Santhanam. His repertoire includes notable films such as "A1," "Dikkiloona," "Gulu Gulu," "Naai Sekar Returns," "Draupathi," "Vadakkupatti Ramasamy," and "‘80s Buildup." In a poignant moment of father-son collaboration, Seshu starred in his son Abhilash's short film "Aurora" in 2020.
Following the news of his demise, an outpouring of condolences flooded social media platforms from both fans and colleagues in the industry. Seshu's legacy as a versatile actor and a beloved personality shall continue to resonate within the hearts of many, and his contributions to the world of entertainment forever be cherished and remembered.
