Carla Michele Buchanan, 74, of Ada, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at Mercy Hospital in Ada. Born on June 29, 1950, in Ada, Oklahoma, Carla was the cherished daughter of Alter Clyde Chapman and Mary Ella (Summers) Chapman. Her life was a testament to the strength and warmth of her roots, and she remained deeply connected to the community where she was raised.

Carla’s upbringing in Ada instilled in her a profound sense of family and community. She grew up in a home filled with love, learning the values of kindness, hard work, and compassion from her parents.
