Noah Riley Overstreet, 24, of Daleville, peacefully departed to be with the Lord on Monday, April 8, 2024. Preceding him in death were his cherished grandparents, Russell and Betty Moran, and Obediah and Anita Overstreet, along with his beloved uncle, Mark Overstreet.
Noah was a distinguished graduate of Lord Botetourt High School and attended the Naval Academy Prep School before earning his degree from Concord University. A versatile athlete, Noah excelled in football, track, and wrestling, leaving an indelible mark as a formidable competitor.
In recent years, Noah found solace in outdoor pursuits such as hiking, fishing, and bowling, enjoying these activities with a close-knit group of friends. As a beloved Physical Education Teacher at Roanoke’s Patrick Henry High School, Noah fostered strong bonds with his colleagues and students, sharing captivating stories and inspiring countless lives.
He is survived by his devoted parents, Tim and Melissa Overstreet; his cherished sister, Olivia Overstreet, who affectionately referred to him as “Woah”; his adored niece, Nahlyia; and a loving extended family including aunts, uncles, cousins, and his dear partner, Tessa Bailey, along with his faithful hiking companion, Banjo.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Lord Botetourt High School, with "Botetourt Buddies" noted in the memo line, supporting a special needs fund. Alternatively, those wishing to honor Noah's passion for nature may plant a tree in his memory.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Fincastle Baptist Church, with Pastor Kevin Cummings officiating. Prior to the service, the family will receive guests for two hours. Arrangements are entrusted to Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road.
