Mandy Larios, born on September 3, 2004, in Hayward, California, and passed away on April 20, 2024, in Conway, Arkansas, at the age of 19, was the cherished child of Kathy and Manny Larios.
Mandy's vibrant presence illuminated every room she entered, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts and souls of those around her. Her infectious smile brightened the darkest of days, and she lived each moment to the fullest, embracing life with her whole heart.
At the age of three, Mandy moved to Heber Springs, where her passion for sports blossomed. While attending Heber Springs Elementary School and later Heber Springs Middle School, she discovered her love for soccer, though she also excelled in basketball and softball. Mandy's competitive spirit and talent led her to become a national champion in soccer, alongside her achievements in academics and art.
Transitioning to St. Joseph's Catholic High School, Mandy continued to shine both on and off the field. She earned numerous accolades in soccer, including All-State and All-Conference honors. Additionally, she found joy in reading, spending time at the beach, indulging in ice cream sundaes, and cheering for the Steelers and her favorite player, Joe Burrow, whom she affectionately dubbed her future husband.
As a freshman at the University of Central Arkansas, Mandy embarked on a new journey, finding fulfillment as a member of the Sigma Kappa sorority. Through Sigma Kappa, she formed deep bonds with her sisters and dedicated herself to charitable endeavors, embodying her commitment to giving back to others.
Mandy's altruistic spirit extended even beyond her passing, as she had registered as an organ donor. Through her selfless act, she will continue to impact countless lives for years to come.
Mandy had a rare gift for turning the ordinary into the extraordinary, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her. She will be dearly missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.
Mandy is preceded in death by her grandfather, Raymond Hazinski and uncle, Jimmy Faria. Mandy is survived by her parents, Kathleen Hazinski Larios and Manuel Larios; brother, Thomas Henry Larios; grandmother, Geraldine Hazinski; Godparents, Rene Eichelberger and Paul Eichelberger; great-aunt and uncle, Carolee Keins and Douglas Keins; aunts and uncles, Kelly Gervasi and Philip Gervasi, Maureen Harrod and Lee Harrod; cousins: Raymond Gervasi, Gerry Samantha Eichelberger, Robert Eichelberger, Anthony Gervasi, Gabrielle Gervasi, Jackson Harrod, Rylee Harrod, Jacob Harrod, Chloe Eichelberger, Ryan Harrod, Kerry Keins Mutschelknaus, Joseph Mutschelknaus, Connor Mutschelknaus, Quinn Mutschelknaus, and Emerson Mutschelknaus.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Family Funeral Service in Heber Springs, Arkansas, and a funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday April 27, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Conway, Arkansas.
