Bradley E. Dummer, 45, a beloved resident of Pecatonica, IL, passed away on April 4, 2024, at his residence following a sudden illness. Born on December 13, 1978, in Rockford, IL, Brad was the cherished son of Craig and Cathy (Bean) Dummer.
He completed his education at Pecatonica High School in 1997 and furthered his studies, earning an Associate Degree in Agriculture from Highland Community College. On September 29, 2012, Brad exchanged vows with Kara Phillips in Rockford, IL.
Brad dedicated many years to the family farming business, where he also served as a representative for Pioneer Hybrid International, specializing in seed sales and crop insurance. In 2014, Brad ventured into entrepreneurship, establishing his own enterprise, Dummer Seed Services (DSS), which offered Veris Technologies agricultural solutions.
His passion for serving the agricultural community was evident, and he took great pride in nurturing relationships with his clientele. Additionally, Brad was a devoted member of the Winnebago County Fair Board of Directors. He found joy in participating in local truck pulling events and was an avid traveler with the Southwest Wisconsin Pullers.
Remembered as an intelligent, compassionate, and helpful individual, Brad cherished moments spent with his young family above all else. He is survived by his loving wife Kara, their children Preston and Myrah, his parents Craig and Cathy, his brother Brian (Amber), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
A funeral ceremony honoring Brad's life will take place at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 13, at McCorkle Funeral Home - Pecatonica Chapel, located at 203 W 5th Street, Pecatonica, IL. Prior to the service, a visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, April 12, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be directed to support Brad's loved ones during this difficult time.
