Mr. James Robert Johnson, 52, of Waresboro, passed away peacefully at his home on December 4, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, integrity, and community service. Born and raised in Ware County, James was a proud graduate of Ware County High 

School, where he developed the strong work ethic and values that would guide him throughout his life. He built a successful career as a bank auditor, known for his meticulous attention to detail and commitment to professionalism, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike.

Beyond his professional achievements, James was deeply connected to his family and the community. He contributed significantly to the family business, Maryland Fried Chicken, helping to sustain its reputation as a beloved local establishment. His support and dedication to the business were a reflection of his

commitment to family and community, values hecarried in every aspect of his life. James was also an active member of Grace Episcopal Church in Waycross, where his faith and service touched the lives of many. His involvement in church activities reflected his generous spirit and desire to give back to others.

James is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Alicia Lee Johnson; his mother, Myra Douglas Johnson; and his stepdaughter, Maggie Barnes, as well as extended family and friends who cherished his warmth, kindness, and humor. His presence in the lives of those around him was a source of comfort and joy, and his loss is deeply felt throughout the Waresboro and Waycross communities.
