Nick Scull Obituary - Cause of Death: Georgia Southern University Mourn The Loss Of Associate Athletics Director Nick Scull

Nick Scull, the Associate Athletics Director for Facilities and Events at Georgia Southern University, passed away on July 19, 2021, at the age of 97. A decorated World War II veteran, he was recognized for his service during the Battle of the Bulge. 

In June, he received the Order of Merit medal from the ambassador of Luxembourg, and Governor J.B. Pritzker declared June 11 as "Nick Scull Recognition Day" in Illinois to honor his contributions.Prior to his tenure at Georgia Southern, Scull served as the Athletic Facilities and Operations Intern at Villanova University from 2011 to 2013. 

In this role, he oversaw the scheduling and hiring of the Athletic Facilities Event Team and assisted in organizing major events such as concerts, graduations, conferences, and symposiums on Villanova's campus.
