Scott Beckwith Dies in Fatal Downtown Fresno Car Crash FRESNO, CA — A tragic car crash in downtown Fresno has claimed the life of 44-year-old Scott Beckwith, a longtime Fresno resident. The fatal incident occurred early Sunday morning, prompting a swift response from emergency services and local law enforcement.According to the Fresno Police Department, the crash happened near the intersection of Ventura Street and R Street just after 6:30 a.m. 

Authorities say Beckwith was traveling alone in his vehicle when, for reasons still under investigation, he lost control and collided with a traffic pole. The force of the impact caused significant damage to the vehicle, and Beckwith was found unresponsive when first responders arrived.

Paramedics attempted life-saving measures at the scene, but Beckwith was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
