Bradley Jennings Obituary-Death News; Bradley Jennings, Former Florida State Linebacker Passes Away at 47

Bradley Jennings, a former Florida State University linebacker, passed away on May 28, 2025, at the age of 47. Born on December 2, 1977, in Miami, Florida, Jennings rose to prominence at Carol City High School before joining the Seminoles from 1997 to 2001. During his collegiate career, he amassed 339 tackles, five tackles for loss, two sacks, four fumble recoveries, and three interceptions, earning First-Team All-ACC honors and contributing to FSU's 1999 BCS National Championship. 

Jennings' NFL aspirations were derailed in 2002 when he was shot twice in the shoulder during a carjacking incident in Miami, just weeks before the NFL Draft. Despite the setback, he remained connected to football, transitioning into coaching roles at Mandarin High School and later at Sandalwood High School in Jacksonville, where he mentored young athletes, including his son, Branden. 

His influence extended beyond the football field; Jennings was a respected figure in his community, known for his leadership, humility, and dedication to youth development. His passing prompted an outpouring of tributes from former teammates, students, and fans, highlighting his lasting impact on those he mentored and inspired.
