NFL Fines Atlanta Falcons and Defensive Coordinator Jeff Ulbrich for Prank Call Incident Involving Shedeur Sanders

 The NFL has imposed significant fines on the Atlanta Falcons and their defensive coordinator, Jeff Ulbrich, following a prank call incident involving quarterback prospect Shedeur Sanders during the 2025 NFL Draft. The incident occurred when Ulbrich's 21-year-old son, Jax, accessed confidential draft information from his father's iPad, obtaining Sanders' phone number. Jax then made a prank call to Sanders, impersonating New Orleans Saints General Manager Mickey Loomis, falsely informing him that he was about to be selected in the draft. This call was recorded and subsequently went viral.  

The NFL's investigation concluded that, although Jeff Ulbrich was not directly involved in the prank, he failed to secure sensitive information adequately, allowing unauthorized access.
