(Westbank) — An urgent and heartbreaking search is underway for Darius Clem, a diligent and deeply loved man who vanished without a trace during his work shift at Empire QSL Port of New Orleans. The 34-year-old logistics worker was last seen late Monday afternoon performing his usual duties at the port’s busy container loading area, but when coworkers conducted a routine headcount at shift’s end, Clem was nowhere to be found.

Family members say it is completely out of character for Clem to disappear. Known for his strong work ethic and quiet reliability, Clem has worked at the port for nearly seven years without incident. “Darius is the kind of person who shows up early, works hard, and checks in constantly with his family,” said his older sister, Latasha Clem. “For him to go silent like this—it’s terrifying.”

Security footage is reportedly being reviewed, though details from the port authority remain scarce. The New Orleans Police Department and local search and rescue teams have been deployed, canvassing the Westbank and surrounding riverfront areas. His last known location was recorded around 4:15 p.m. near Dock 9, where he was seen walking toward a storage container zone.

With no signs of foul play or personal belongings left behind, loved ones fear the worst but remain hopeful. Volunteers have gathered each day since the disappearance to distribute flyers and organize search teams.“Time is everything,” said family friend Marcus Duval. “We need to find Darius—someone, somewhere must have seen something.”
