Madison Middle School Student Death: Authorities Investigate Student Passing In Trumbull, Connecticut

As of April 8, 2025, there are no publicly available reports regarding the death of a student at Madison Middle School in Trumbull, Connecticut. The most recent notable incident at this school occurred in June 2022, involving an investigation into students' remarks related to a Pride flag displayed in the cafeteria.

In contrast, Madison Middle School in Madison, West Virginia, experienced a tragic event in August 2024. Thirteen-year-old eighth-grader Cohen Craddock sustained a head injury during football practice on August 23, 2024. He was transported to a hospital but, despite medical efforts, succumbed to his injuries the following day.

The Boone County Ambulance Authority responded promptly to the incident, and Superintendent Matthew Riggs expressed the community's profound grief, highlighting Cohen's role as a beloved student and football team leader.

In response to this tragedy, the school implemented support measures for students, staff, and athletes to help them cope with the loss. It's important to note that while both schools share the name "Madison Middle School," they are located in different states—Connecticut and West Virginia—and are not affiliated with each other.
