Miriam Yarimi Park Slope Car Accident: Orthodox Jewish mom, Natasha Saada and her 2 children Diana and Debra killed in Brooklyn crash near Gravesend and Midwood neighborhoods

In a devastating incident on March 29, 2025, in Brooklyn's Midwood neighborhood, 35-year-old Natasha Saada and her daughters, Diana (8) and Debra (5), were fatally struck by a vehicle while crossing the street after attending Shabbat services. Her 4-year-old son, Phillip, sustained critical injuries but underwent successful surgery and is expected to recover. 

The driver, 32-year-old Miriam Yarimi, was operating an Audi A3 Sedan with a suspended license. She collided with a Toyota Camry Uber before veering into the crosswalk and hitting the Saada family. Yarimi has a history of reckless driving, with numerous traffic violations, including speeding in school zones and running red lights. She has been charged with multiple offenses, including manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, and assault. 

The tragedy has profoundly impacted the Orthodox Jewish community in Brooklyn. Mayor Eric Adams described the incident as a "tragedy of Shakespearean proportion," emphasizing the deep sorrow felt throughout the city. 

Community members have rallied around the grieving family, offering support and mourning the loss of Natasha and her daughters. Funeral services were held, with plans to transport the bodies to Israel for burial. 

This incident has reignited discussions about traffic safety and the enforcement of driving regulations in New York City, highlighting the need for stricter measures to prevent such tragedies in the future.
