Karla Roberts Springfield, IL Obituary: Beloved wife to Chris Roberts dies at 65 after head injury.

Karla Ann Roberts, aged 65, passed away on March 23, 2025, at HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Illinois. Born on October 22, 1959, in Carmi, Illinois, she was the daughter of Carl Eugene and Shirley Ann (Bozarth) Harvey. 

Karla was a 1977 graduate of Salem High School, where she showcased her musical talent by playing the clarinet. Her passion for beauty and cosmetics led her to a successful 20-year career as a Mary Kay consultant, during which she built lasting relationships with her clients and community. In addition to her entrepreneurial endeavors, Karla dedicated 30 years of service to the Lincoln Library in Springfield before retired 

She is survived by her two sons, Ryan Eugene Harvey Thoroman and Zachary Thomas Thoroman, both of Springfield; her sister, Angela Nance of Girard; nephew, James Kirgan of Effingham; and several great-nieces and nephews. Karla was preceded in death by her parents and her niece, Stephanie Kirgan. 

Tragically, Karla's life was cut short due to a severe head injury. A GoFundMe campaign was established to assist with her funeral expenses, highlighting the community's support and the profound impact she had on those around her. 

Private services were held to honor Karla's memory. Her legacy of kindness, dedication, and community involvement will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
