 Jessica Flag, a 20-year-old resident of Chicago, tragically lost her life in a fatal stabbing incident on the city's West Side in the early hours of December 27, 2024. The altercation occurred around 12:15 a.m. in the 5300 block of West Chicago Avenue, where Jessica approached another woman, identified as 20-year-old Kimari Tousant, outside a gas station. 

An argument ensued between the two women, escalating into a physical confrontation during which both sustained injuries from a sharp object. Emergency responders arrived promptly and transported Jessica to Mount Sinai Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. 

Tousant was taken to West Suburban Hospital in good condition, receiving treatment for multiple lacerations to her arm, and was subsequently taken into custody. 

She has been charged with first-degree murder and is scheduled to appear at a detention hearing on Sunday. Jessica's untimely death has left her family, friends, and the local community in deep mourning.
