Four-year-old Jacobi Jones was killed on Christmas Eve in Rosedale, Maryland, shot in the head during a horrifying domestic dispute at his home on Breslin Court.

 On Christmas Eve, December 24, 2024, a tragic domestic incident unfolded in Rosedale, Maryland, resulting in the death of four-year-old Jacobi Jones. The young boy was fatally shot in the head during a violent altercation at his home on Breslin Court. Authorities have arrested his father, 30-year-old Mark C. Jones, in connection with the shooting. 

Baltimore County Police responded to reports of a shooting around 6:35 a.m. at the Ross Ridge apartment complex. Upon arrival, officers discovered Jacobi, his mother, and another juvenile suffering from gunshot wounds. 

All three victims were transported to a local hospital, where Jacobi was pronounced dead. The mother and the other child sustained serious injuries but are expected to recover. Mark Jones was also found at the scene with a self-inflicted gunshot wound and was taken to the hospital under police custody. 

Investigators have determined that the incident stemmed from a domestic dispute. Mark Jones has been charged with first-degree murder, attempted murder, and related offenses. He is currently being held without bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center. 

This heartbreaking event has left the Rosedale community in shock, especially during the holiday season. Neighbors expressed disbelief, describing the area as typically peaceful.
