Ashley Gearhart Obituary, Death: Roanoke VA, Woman Run Over By Car, Jeremy Williams Arrested

Ashley Marie Gearhart, a 32-year-old resident of Roanoke, Virginia, tragically lost her life on December 28, 2024, in a fatal incident in Salem, Virginia. The event occurred in the parking lot of a restaurant located on West Main Street, where she was struck by a vehicle. 

Emergency responders arrived promptly at approximately 8:36 p.m., but despite their efforts, Ashley was pronounced dead at the scene due to life-threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle, identified as 30-year-old Jeremy Christopher Williams of Roanoke, was arrested at the scene. 

Authorities have charged him with second-degree murder, and he is currently held at the Salem-Roanoke County Jail without bond. Reports indicate that Williams and Gearhart were in a prior relationship, and the incident is being investigated as a domestic violence case. 

Ashley was known for her vibrant personality and dedication to her family. She was a loving mother, daughter, and friend, whose sudden passing has left a void in the lives of those who knew her.
