The Christian Brothers Academy (CBA) community is grieving the sudden and heartbreaking loss of Randy Kinn, a beloved retired athletic trainer, who tragically passed away in a fatal car accident on Thursday, October 10. Kinn, who had dedicated decades of his life to supporting the school’s athletes, was a cherished figure within the CBA family, known not only for

his expertise and professionalism but also for his deep compassion and mentorship to countless students. His untimely death has left the school and surrounding community in shock.

According to initial reports, the accident occurred in the early afternoon while Kinn was driving along a rural highway. Authorities are still investigating the exact cause of the accident, though preliminary findings suggest that road conditions and

possible driver fatigue may have been contributing factors. Emergency personnel arrived on the scene quickly, but despite their efforts, Kinn was pronounced dead at the site of the crash.

Kinn had recently retired after serving the CBA athletic department for over 25 years, where he was instrumental in the care and recovery of countless student-athletes. His dedication to the students and his genuine love for sports made him an irreplaceable figure at CBA.

Former students, athletes, and colleagues have shared an outpouring of memories, describing Kinn as a mentor, a father figure, and a friend who was always there with a smile, an encouraging word, or a helping hand.

During his tenure at CBA, Kinn was involved in numerous championship seasons, and he earned the respect of everyone he worked with for his tireless commitment to the well-being of the athletes.

His retirement just a few years ago marked the end of an era at the school, though he remained an active part of the community, attending games and staying in touch with former students.

In the wake of his passing, the CBA community has rallied together, offering support to one another as they mourn the loss of a man who touched so many lives.

A memorial service is being planned to honor Randy Kinn’s life and legacy, with students, faculty, and alumni expected to attend in large numbers to pay their respects to a man who meant so much to them.
