Richard M. Davis, 61, and his son, Alexander C. Davis, 26, were tragically found stabbed to death on October 13, 2024, in their Winneconne, Wisconsin, home. Authorities suspect the case to be a murder-suicide, although the investigation is ongoing. The shocking event has left the small, tight-knit community reeling.

Richard was a lifelong resident of Winneconne, known for his quiet demeanor and dedication to his family. He worked for over three decades as a skilled mechanic, taking pride in his work at a local auto repair shop. 

He had a deep love for the outdoors, spending much of his free time fishing, hunting, and hiking in the natural beauty of rural Wisconsin. 

Richard’s friends and family remember him as a hardworking, kind-hearted man who was always willing to lend a hand when needed. His sense of humor and gentle spirit made him a beloved figure among those who knew him well.

Alexander, or Alex, was Richard's only child. He graduated from Winneconne High School and later attended Fox Valley Technical College, where he studied graphic design. Alex was passionate about digital art, gaming, and music. 

Though quiet and introspective, he was known to his close friends for his creativity and unique perspective on life. His sensitive nature often led him to withdraw from social circles, but those who knew him best appreciated his deep thoughtfulness and wit.

The circumstances surrounding their deaths have left many in the community grappling with disbelief and sorrow. As authorities work to piece together what led to this devastating outcome,
