Kristina Folkerts & Gabe Harvey Obituary, Death: Tragic Park Tavern Patio Crash in St. Louis Park, Missouri

The St. Louis Park, Minnesota community is deeply grieving the tragic loss of Kristina Folkerts and Gabe Harvey, who both lost their lives in a devastating incident at the Park Tavern on September 1, 2024. The crash, which occurred when a vehicle unexpectedly plowed into the outdoor patio of the beloved local establishment, claimed the lives of Kristina, Gabe, and three other individuals, leaving a lasting impact on their families, friends, and the broader community.

Kristina Folkerts was a cherished mother and dedicated employee at Park Tavern, known for her warm personality, infectious smile, and deep love for her children. As a mother, Kristina was the heart of her family, always placing her children’s needs above her own and creating a nurturing and loving home environment.

Her children remember her as their biggest supporter, someone who encouraged them to pursue their dreams and face life’s challenges with grace and resilience. At work, Kristina was more than just an employee—she was a friend and a confidante to many.

Her colleagues admired her tireless work ethic, her ability to make everyone feel welcome, and her positive, uplifting spirit that brightened even the toughest days. Her sudden and tragic passing has left a void in the hearts of her family and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Gabe Harvey, who was also tragically killed in the crash, was known for his kindness, his love for life, and his deep connections with those around him. Gabe was a beloved member of the community, admired for his generous spirit and his willingness to help others.

Whether spending time with friends, enjoying the outdoors, or simply sharing a laugh, Gabe’s presence was always a source of joy. His loss is felt deeply by those who knew him, as he leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and friendship.

The crash that took the lives of Kristina, Gabe, and others has shaken the St. Louis Park community to its core. The incident occurred on what was meant to be a peaceful evening at Park Tavern, a place where people gathered to enjoy good food, good company, and a welcoming atmosphere.

However, the tranquility of the night was shattered when a vehicle, driven by 56-year-old Steven Frane Bailey, careened into the outdoor seating area, causing chaos and heartbreak.

Bailey has since been arrested and charged with criminal vehicular homicide, as the community seeks answers and justice for the lives lost.

In the wake of this tragedy, the community has come together to honor Kristina, Gabe, and the other victims. Vigils, memorial services, and community gatherings have been organized, where friends, family members,

and community members have shared stories, offered support, and celebrated the lives of those lost. The outpouring of love and support has been a testament to the deep impact that Kristina and Gabe had on their community.

As St. Louis Park mourns the loss of Kristina Folkerts and Gabe Harvey, their memories live on in the hearts of those who knew them. Their lives were a testament to the power of kindness,

love, and community, and though they were taken far too soon, their legacies will continue to inspire and uplift those who were fortunate enough to have known them.
