Glenda Muriel Suridge (née Smyth) passed away peacefully on Thursday, 22nd August 2024, at the age of 88, at Broken Hill Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Her passing marks the end of a life richly lived, filled with love, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to her family and community.

Born in a small town, Glenda grew up during a time when the world was changing rapidly. Despite the challenges of her early years, she developed a resilience and strength that would define her character throughout her life. 

Glenda married the love of her life, Harold Suridge, with whom she shared over six decades of marriage filled with joy, laughter, and mutual respect. Together, they raised three children, whom Glenda adored and guided with love and wisdom.

Glenda was known for her deep sense of compassion and her tireless efforts to support those in need. She was an active member of her local church and spent many years volunteering at various community organizations, where her kindness touched the lives of many. 

Whether organizing charity events, visiting the sick, or simply offering a listening ear, Glenda's presence brought comfort and joy to those around her.

Her home was a sanctuary of warmth and love, where friends and family were always welcome. Glenda had a special talent for making everyone feel valued and cared for.
