Born and raised in Columbus, Rick's passion for the arts was evident from a young age. He pursued a degree in Fine Arts, which laid the foundation for his illustrious career. His journey was marked by numerous accolades and recognitions, but his true legacy lies in the impact he had on those around him.

Rick founded FABArts (Fine Arts and Beyond) in 2005, a non-profit organization aimed at providing aspiring artists with the resources and guidance needed to hone their craft. 

Under his leadership, FABArts became a cornerstone of the Columbus arts scene, offering workshops, exhibitions, and mentorship programs that touched the lives of countless individuals. Rick's vision was to create a space where creativity could flourish, and he succeeded beyond measure.

As a mentor, Rick was unparalleled. His approach was both nurturing and challenging, pushing his mentees to reach their full potential.

Rick's sudden passing leaves a void that will be deeply felt. He is survived by his wife, two children, and a host of mentees who carry forward his legacy. A celebration of Rick's life and legacy will be held at FABArts headquarters next week, where the community will gather to honor the memory of a man who gave so much to so many. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to FABArts to continue Rick’s mission of fostering artistic talent.
