A homicide investigation is in progress following a fatal shooting along Bruce B. Downs Boulevard and Regents Park Drive in New Tampa. The incident occurred on Monday 17th June 2024, with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) responding to reports just before 3 p.m.

Authorities were alerted after gunshots were heard in the area, and a person was found dead on the road. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a man who had been shot multiple times in the 19000 block of Bruce B. Downs Boulevard. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
