A man in his 40s was pronounced dead at Manchester Airport last evening following reports of concern for his welfare. Emergency services were dispatched to a car park at Terminal 2 at approximately 7:40 PM.
Upon arrival, officers from Greater Manchester Police (GMP) and paramedics found the man, who is believed to have fallen from the car park. Despite the immediate efforts of the emergency responders, the man was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
In a statement, a GMP spokesperson confirmed: "At around 7.40 PM on Friday, 17 May 2024, we were called to reports of a concern for welfare of a man at Manchester Airport’s Terminal 2. Officers attended the scene and located the victim. Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, a man in his 40s was pronounced dead at the scene. There are no suspicious circumstances. Enquiries are ongoing."
