Emma Morgan Spurlock, the beloved 22-year-old daughter of Barry and Candace Grubb Spurlock, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at the Baptist Health Hospital in Richmond, Kentucky. Emma was born on Friday, March 8, 2002, in Louisville, Kentucky.
Emma was an active and cherished member of the Southland Christian Church of Richmond. She recently graduated with Honors from Eastern Kentucky University, where she was involved with the College of Young Republicans and served as a board member of the Madison County GOP. Emma's professional life included working at Pet Smart and serving as a Triage Technician at the Advance Animal Care in Richmond.
Emma leaves behind a loving family who will deeply mourn her passing. She is survived by her parents, Barry and Candace Spurlock; her siblings, Emory Spurlock, Amber Spurlock, Alaina Spurlock, and Evan Spurlock; her paternal grandparents, Bobby and Marilyn Spurlock; and her maternal grandparents, Virgil and Georgia Grubb. She is also survived by her aunt, Lindsay Westerfield, and her husband, Rondall; her uncle, Joshua Grubb, and his wife, Ashley; and her fiancé, Mikey Younger.
Funeral services for Emma Morgan Spurlock will be conducted on Friday, May 31, 2024, at 2 PM at the Southland Christian Church in Richmond, Kentucky. Reverends Jason Koerner and John Ward will preside over the service. Emma will be laid to rest in the Manchester Memorial Gardens in Manchester, Kentucky.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Friday after 12 PM at the Southland Christian Church in Richmond, Kentucky.
