Douglas Barnes Livonia Michigan Shooting : Sergeant Mike McCaffrey's Daughter Killed During High School Prom By Douglas For Revenge Of His Son Gino Barnes

It should have been a high school prom to remember but instead it became a night of infamy as 17-year-old Samantha McCaffrey was shot dead allegedly by Douglas Barnes. The tragedy unfolded Friday night outside Livonia High School, and it sent shockwaves through the community.

At that moment, Douglas Barnes pulled up in his vehicle and with an AK-47 in hand he opened fire on the limo just as 25-year-old Samantha McCaffrey — daughter of Livonia Police Department Sergeant Mike McCaffrey was exiting; she died from her injuries.

After Gunfire, Witnesses Said Barnes Casually Waited For Police While Repeating The Phrase Which Is Associated With Revenge:"An Eye For An Eye" The reason for committing this awful act can be linked to an incident that occurred prior to four years.

In 2020, Gino Barnes—the 19-year-old son of Douglass Barnes—was gunned down by Sergeant McCaffrey during a traffic stop. McCaffrey reportedly opened fire on Gino after the two men were involved in a road rage incident regarding expired tags and Gino reached into his glove compartment.

In the aftermath, law enforcement agencies swiftly apprehended Barnes. He was charged with multiple offenses, the most severe being first-degree murder. Given the gravity of his crimes and the premeditated nature of his actions, Barnes is currently being held without bond. The legal proceedings are ongoing, with the community closely following the case, hoping for justice to be served.
