The Alpharetta Police are investigating a tragic single-vehicle crash that resulted in the deaths of two young adults and left three others injured on Tuesday night. The incident occurred on Westside Parkway between Hembree Road and Maxwell Road.
The Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office has identified the deceased as 18-year-old Aryan Joshi and 18-year-old Sriya Avasarala. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene. The names and conditions of the three individuals transported to the hospital have not yet been released.
According to the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety, the accident was reported late Tuesday night. In response, both northbound and southbound lanes of Westside Parkway between Hembree Road and Maxwell Road were closed to traffic. The road is expected to remain closed until 2 a.m. as police conduct their investigation.
Currently, the cause of the crash remains unknown. Authorities have been meticulously examining the crash site, including the woodline just off Westside Parkway, where the vehicle appeared to have veered off the road.
