Alexander Dennis Merrit Parkway CT Death : Alexander Dennis Obituary - Fairfield University Student Died In Wayland Car Accident

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Fairfield University student, Alexander Dennis ’25. Alex had just completed his junior year here on campus and was traveling home to Massachusetts for the summer when the car accident occurred. As a student in the College of Arts and Sciences, Alex was a visual and performing arts major with a special interest in film.

At a time of year when the school is actively engaged in the celebration of the students and their accomplishments, a loss like this seems inconceivable. Those who knew and loved Alex will be especially impacted by his passing, and his loss will be felt across campus. The Jesuit colleagues are available to the community, as are staff members from Campus Ministry and the Counseling Center. For employees, the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) may also be a helpful resource at this time.

He was a bright and talented student, deeply committed to his studies and his artistic pursuits. Alex’s presence will be greatly missed on our campus, and our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time."

Alex's passion for film and the arts was evident to all who knew him. He brought creativity and enthusiasm to every project, inspiring those around him with his dedication and talent. His professors remember him as a diligent student with a keen eye for detail and a genuine love for storytelling through visual media.

As many grieve this tragic loss, they also remember Alex for the light he brought into our lives and the positive impact he made in the community. Fairfield University stands together in solidarity with Alex's family and friends, offering support and comfort in this time of sorrow. Though he may be gone, his memory will continue to inspire us all.
