It is with profound sorrow that we share the news of the passing of Susan Han, a cherished Partner, esteemed friend, and esteemed colleague. Susan died on Sunday, April 14, 2024, following a brief illness, surrounded by her beloved family.

Susan embarked on her legal journey with fervor, earning her LL.B. from the University of Toronto in 1986 and subsequently being called to the Bar of Ontario in 1988. Throughout her illustrious career, she adorned various roles of significance, including pivotal positions at Invesco Canada as Senior Vice President and General Counsel, as well as at DundeeWealth, where she served as Senior Vice President of Legal, Compliance & Risk Management. 

Her expertise and dedication were unparalleled, leading her back to private practice. In 2017, Susan found her professional home at WeirFoulds, where she became an integral part of the Securities Practice Group. Her contributions were invaluable, and her impact indelible.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Susan was deeply committed to her community. She served as a board member and Vice-Chair for the Arirang Age-Friendly Community Centre (AAFCC), where her passion for bettering the lives of others shone brightly. 

Notably, Susan spearheaded a remarkable initiative to acquire the Rose of Sharon Long-Term Care home, ensuring culturally appropriate care for Korean Canadians. Her tireless efforts culminated in 2023, leaving an enduring legacy of compassion and advocacy.
