Peoria, AZ - On April 14, 2024, tragedy struck the quiet streets of Peoria as a traffic collision claimed the lives of two young individuals and left several others battling severe injuries. The incident occurred at approximately 12:05 AM on 126th Avenue near Garambullo Dr., sending shockwaves through the community and prompting an urgent response from local authorities.
According to reports from Peoria Police and Peoria Fire-Medical, the collision involved a single vehicle, a 2018 black Infiniti Q60. The vehicle veered off course, crashing into a block wall before partially infiltrating a nearby residence, shattering the peace of the night with a deafening impact.
Initial investigations suggest that the driver of the Infiniti, traveling westbound on Garambullo Drive, failed to heed the posted stop sign at the intersection with 126th Avenue, hurtling forward with tragic consequences. The collision proved fatal for two occupants of the vehicle, identified as 20-year-old Shane Johnson from Tempe, Arizona, and 19-year-old Aiden Ellis from Peoria, Arizona.
