James Lawrence McElroy, III, a 45-year-old man from Huntsville, Alabama, tragically passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. He was a beloved husband, son, sibling, and uncle who touched many lives with his presence. His untimely demise has left a void in the hearts of his loved ones and the community.
James was married to his loving wife, Misti McElroy, who will dearly miss her devoted husband. In addition to his wife, James is survived by his father, James Lawrence McElroy, Jr., and his mother, Jane Brinkley Plaxco (Michael).
His father and stepfather both played crucial roles in his upbringing, providing him with the love and support he needed to grow into the person he was. James had two siblings, Daniel McElroy and Taylor McElroy (Ashlee), who shared a close bond with him.
They will miss their brother and brother-in-law, who was always there for them in times of need. James also leaves behind a beautiful extended family, including his niece and nephews – Jacob, Austin, Harper, Ellis, and Grayson – who will cherish the memories they made with their Uncle James.
The family is mourning the loss of James, who was preceded in death by his grandparents, George Lewis Brinkley, Jr., and Martha Brinkley, as well as his uncles, Daniel Fox Brinkley and John Allen Brinkley. These family members' absence will be deeply felt during this difficult time.
To honor James Lawrence McElroy, III's life and celebrate his memory, the family will be receiving friends on Friday, April 12, 2024, at Berryhill Funeral Home from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. This will be an opportunity for loved ones to gather, share stories, and offer condolences to the grieving family. At 4:00 pm, a memorial service will be held in the chapel, allowing everyone to come together to remember and pay tribute to the life of James McElroy.
