Isabela Osler Obituary : Isabela Osler Death : Branford High School Senior Died In Car Accident

The tragic loss of Isabela Jane Osler, a vibrant teenager from Branford, has left a community in mourning after she was killed in a devastating Interstate 91 crash in New Haven.

Isabela, aged just 17, was identified by Connecticut State Police following the harrowing incident that occurred on a Wednesday night. Her untimely passing has sent shockwaves through her hometown and beyond, as friends, family, and acquaintances grapple with the profound loss of such a young and promising life.

The circumstances of the crash, as detailed by state police, reveal the heartbreaking sequence of events that led to Isabela's tragic fate. She was a passenger in a 1993 Jeep driven by a 17-year-old boy from Hamden.

The collision occurred when their vehicle encroached into the right center lane from the right lane, resulting in a collision with another car driven by a New York man. The impact caused the Jeep to spin out of control, ultimately rolling over with catastrophic consequences.

Despite the valiant efforts of emergency responders and medical personnel, Isabela suffered fatal injuries and was tragically ejected from the vehicle. 

She was pronounced deceased at Yale New Haven Hospital, marking the heartbreaking end to a young life filled with promise and potential.

The driver of the Jeep, also a teenager, sustained a "suspected serious injury" as a result of the crash, further highlighting the devastating toll of the accident on those involved. Meanwhile, the driver of the other vehicle, a New York man, miraculously escaped without injury.

In the aftermath of this tragic incident, Connecticut State Police are urging anyone with information relevant to the investigation or who may have witnessed the collision to come forward and assist in shedding light on the circumstances surrounding Isabela's untimely death.
