West Plains Man Seriously Injured After Rear-Ending a Truck

A crash involving two vehicles occurred on the morning of Thursday, March 28th, resulting in one individual sustaining serious injuries, as per a recent report from Troop G of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Details of the Accident:

According to the accident report, the vehicles involved were a Toyota and a Ford truck. The driver of the Toyota, Justin Heath, aged 29 and a resident of West Plains, collided with the rear of the Ford truck, driven by Daniel Brown, aged 64 from Poplar Bluff. Following the impact, Heath's vehicle veered off the road into a nearby ditch.

Injuries and Medical Response:

Fortunately, Brown emerged from the accident unharmed, having been properly secured with his safety device. However, Heath, who was not wearing his safety device at the time of the collision, sustained serious injuries. He was promptly transported to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains for urgent medical attention.

Time of the Crash and Investigating Officer:

The crash occurred at 7:35 am, during the early hours of the morning. Responding to the scene, Trooper C. Battreal from Troop G of the Missouri State Highway Patrol conducted the investigation into the incident.
