The roommate who discovered the scene had just returned home and immediately called 911. Investigators recovered the suspected firearm and are reviewing evidence to understand what led to the shooting.

Police say a shocking scene unfolded inside a **west Nashville apartment** on **Tuesday morning**, ending with one man dead and a young woman in handcuffs. Authorities were called to the apartment after Al-Bunni’s roommate returned home to a horrifying discovery — Hall standing in the doorway and Al-Bunni lying motionless on the floor. When the roommate asked what had happened, Hall allegedly admitted that she had “pulled the trigger.” 

The roommate immediately called 911, and officers arrived within minutes.Responding officers found Al-Bunni deceased at the scene and detained Hall without incident. A **handgun**, believed to be the weapon used in the shooting, was recovered from the apartment. Detectives said Hall **refused to speak** during questioning and requested an attorney. 

The motive for the shooting remains unclear, though investigators are reviewing witness statements, phone records, and other evidence to determine what led to the deadly confrontation.Neighbors described hearing a brief argument followed by gunfire shortly before police arrived. “It was just two loud pops, then silence,” one resident said. “Next thing I knew, there were sirens everywhere.”
